Written by guitarist and astrophysicist Dr. Brian May, Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire... lol
Everybody loves big booty... lol
And defender of hedgehogs and badgers.
Took a PhD to calculate the mass of dat booty.
Don’t you just love that about Brian May!!! :)
@@dinhnguyen2110 yes best comment I've seen in awhile 👍🤣👍
My favorite meme had Winnie the Pooh and Piglet sitting by a stream under a tree. Piglet looks up to Pooh and asks "Pooh, what makes the world go round?" And Pooh responds "Fat Bottomed Girls, Piglet! Fat Bottomed Girls!"
😂👌
I can't comprehend why big old school style guitar is dead bc EVERY young kid that experiences it like this FLIPS OUT over it. We need more rock!
Grunge killed it.
Seriously - I've never seen a young shy away from good rock - but the producers aren't producing it - not formulaic enough to guarantee cash inflow. The Industry is killing itself -again.
RIGHT YOU ARE!!
It still exists but rock isn't mainstream anymore. This big Queen and Boston style power rock is limited to indie bands now, but don't fear, the torch still burns
im a youngster at 3o somthing love this way they play this its alot different than anything
Freddy has got to be one of the greatest singers ever. His stage presence was phenomenal
There's videos out there where a content person removes all the back ground music from songs from all types of bands so all you hear is the singer. To try and hear / judge weather or not their voice is good alone or not. Freddy was just awesome.
James Brown, Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury - the 3 GOATS of 20th century music performance.
FREDDIE
@@70Slinger FREDDIE
100% one of the greatest frontman ever.
Don't think there's much of an argument from most performers on that front.
A song written by a scientist, and as a fellow scientist, I consider this paper peer-reviewed. Fat bottom girls do indeed make the rockin' world go 'round.
Back in my singing days, "Fat Bottomed Girls" was always a good warmup. It got the lungs to a good work pressure, put a smile on my face, and put me in cheeky mode.
I usually started with Crazy Little Thing Called Love
OMG! Your cute little face when Roger Taylor went round the drum kit was priceless. New to your channel. Great stuff. Big love from England. ❤
The face of a girl falling in love with Queen is a joy to behold
^This.
Yes it is! ❤
Well said Steve.
I've never not been in the mood to listen to this song
6:45am and here i am. :)
At least not by the end.
Amen broooooootherrrr
that is the perfect summation!!!
Another great song about large women is, A Whole lotta Rosie by AC/DC.
-or "Big Bottom" by Spinal Tap.
There's no such thing as a great song by AC/DC.
Yup
@@shadowprophet99 ah yes, makes sense they have multiple great successful albums and one of the greatest and best selling albums in all of music, not just rock. You know, because they don't have even one great song.
@@shadowprophet99 As opposed to you, with your extensive discography, legion of fans and lifetime of achievements...knucklehead
Written by Brian May. Probably the only rock song writer / lead guitarist who is also an astrophysicist on the side.
I mean he only has a PhD in Physics.
But I love the song and your reactions are always terrific. Keep binge reacting to Queen. I don't think anyone will complain!!
Also don't forget Brian and his dad made the guitar that he plays!
Sir Mixalot, take note: white rockers like Queen and AC/DC (Whole Lotta Rosie) appreciated curvy gals too. Lots of us do!
Queen singing the praises of big bootied girls years before Sir Mix-a-Lot!!
But Fonda ain't got a motor in the back of her Honda
My anaconda don't want none
Unless you've got buns, hon lol
Fuck yeah!!!
Continuing a long tradition of honoring the ladies with some extra junk in the trunk. Although Led Zepplin says Big Legged Woman Ain't Got No Soul, Albert King said a big-legged woman gonna carry him to his grave.
@@matthewdooley7855 don't forget Queen... Fat Bottom Girls!
@@jenniferjack4346 Absolutely. Loved that song since I heard it on my dad's stereo, which had an 8-track player.
I truly like to see the reactions from a younger generation probably because I grew up with this generation of music. I was a teenager in the 70's and it was just an awesome time to be a teenager.
Finally! Someone just reacts without all stopping and talking! Good for you kiddo!
I had to watch this twice. It’s so cool. Yes, ole Freddy was saying his nanny started him off as a big game Hunter. God bless
I love the way the vocals caught your interest...then the guitar and drums just pulled you in!!! You just went, "Oh!", then started rockin' out. GREAT REACTION....
Thank you for reacting to this. It's my all time favorite queen song and your radiant smile was fantastic to watch
Loved watching your reaction. You looked like you genuinely liked it with your smiling and rocking back and forth. With that being said, I very, very highly recommend you listen to Queen's "Who Wants to Live Forever" from the major motion picture "HIGHLANDER". It could bring a tear to your eye. Lyrically and musically, it is just fiercely powerful on an emotional level. Great movie too.
This song, "Tie your mother down" and "I'm in love with my car" all awesome Queen songs
Also 39
Death On Two Legs
I'm in love with my car is literally their only not amazing song. What about bohemian rhapsody
Prophet's Song. A perfect counterpoint to FBG's frivolity.
This song & "Bicycle Race" were written as a protest of the fact, that England's parliament outlawed a scheduled nude bicycle race in their country.
If you haven't seen it yet, Bicycle Race is an interesting one. Just be prepared for the visual.
Get on your bikes and ride!
I'm sure mine is an unpopular opinion, but I HATE Bicycle Race. As much as I love Fat Bottom Girls, and it pains me to not sing along with it, I hate Bicycle Race the same amount.
The only thing that makes me shut off a radio faster than Bicycle Race is hearing Def Leppard come on.
😂😂
It was a joy to watch you go from a little apprehensive about this song to really enjoying this fun song.
One of the VERY cool things about Queen is the whole band can sing the drummer has a phenominal voice. Check it out!
Awesome review! The vocals really are amazing!
This song makes me think about my dad. This was his ringtone for years when ringtones were just tones and not actual songs. Thank you for inadvertantly bringing me some memories of my dad.
There's never been a bad day made that this song can't improve.
Saw them live with Billy Squier in 83..floor seats never sat down the whole show...one of the best shows ever!
Watched a few of you vids and liked them. This one has me sold. Just watching you jam and your humor, I'm subscribed
This is my favorite queen song because this is one when heard clear enough it can give me chills.
Absolutely love this song
This needs to be followed immediately by "Bicycle Race", for proper continuity, I mean ;)
So cool to watch you listen to this song for the first time. One of my favs. Watching you listen to it made me happy. Thanks!
Ok, I've been creeping the channel for a while now. Your reactions are fun, and cover a lot of music that I love, so it's really heart warming to see people discover rock/alt/metal/whatever, so now, I'm a subscriber. This has always been a big favorite of mine. The vocal harmonies are wonderful, and the bass line grooves so well. Queen is one of my all time favorite bands. Each member is a musical god on their own. I dabbled in both drums and guitar before settling on bass, and each member of this band served as influence to me. Freddie Mercury is hands down the best front man in rock history, in my humble opinion.
UUGGGHHH need a button that gives a thousand likes for a comment!!! So true hun...QUEEN FOREVER!!!!
This was the double-A side single with Bicycle Race....which I still say you NEED to watch as part of this Queen journey you're on! :)
Great official video too.
@@EdwardGregoryNYC Beat me to it man - great vid!
@@EdwardGregoryNYC ...and poster with the original album...
The best thing about the video is the T-Shirt, ok, and the girl is cute, too. Do you know her? 😂 Great reaction. We all love Queen. Thank you. 🤩
Love the fact you start off unfamiliar with the song, and by the end you are singing along.
Loved watching your reaction!!! Keep rocking and peace, sister!
Watching your reaction is priceless. I didn’t get into them till my 20s but have to admit they rock
Voice bigger than King Kong” That’s our Freddie!
I loved watching your reaction to this classic! (Especially the naughty nanny lol) I knew you liked it before you even spoke.
Great Reactions once again. The first time I heard it I couldn't get it out of my head for days.
Yes.
They do make the rockin world go around.
It is so much fun to watch you doing these reactions. You are a cutie.
One of the greatest rock singers of all time if not the best, in my opinion.
Always saw this as Queens take on southern American rock.
That’s actually a good way to put it. Like how Crazy Little Thing Called is their take on a Rockabilly tune
The lass just rocked out, listened, smiled, top reaction
What a showman so fun to watch R.I.P. Freddy we miss you!
Another of Brian May's songs off of the 1978 album "Jazz". This song along with "Bicyce Race" was made kind of infamous when a video was shot for "Bicyce Race" with dozens of nude models riding, what else, bicycles around a track. The album also came with a 2 foot long poster of the ladies on bikes during the video shoot. Also this was another i got to see done live in 1980.
I remember hiding that poster so my parents didn't see it.
Yes, he said "Nanny".
It written as a tribute to the guitarist's first sexual encounter, as an underaged "lad", with his nanny.
From what I've read.
Lyrics of the song, no truth to it in real life. Brian’s done plenty of interviews about how this song came to him and he says nothing like this.
No, it isn't. It's a funny lyric by Brian may, a funny guy. Not everything has to have a deeper meaning
30 years later and I'm still laughing. Great song!
Today was the first time I watched your reaction to a video. I have to say watching the pure Joy on your face, and watching you Rock out was very enjoyable.
Fat Bottom Girls = Greatest Rock and Roll song ever written
Ok; watching your head bang like mine used to made me subscribe! Enjoy your Queen journey. Remember, this is a group of GUYS naming their band Queen! :) Great music.
Im almost 68 yrs old, whenever I here this song on the radio, instantly cranked up
Happy birthday 🎂
It’s so much fun to see young people discovering the music I grew up with. 😁
“Get on your bikes and ride,” is a nod to another one of their songs “Bicycle Races.”
As you're discovering, Queen was one of the greatest rock bands *EVER*
The smile on your face says it all!
There is absolutely nothing wrong with some meat on dem bones and this Queen anthem to real women says it all
Yes. And a lot of people think Freddie was gay, and he mostly was, but he was bisexual more than anything. He had many relations and relationships with women his entire life up until he became ill.
@@JennRighter He didn't write this. Roger or Brian did, cant remember.
@no way Too much fat is unhealthy as is too little. Don't believe me, a large percent of the human brain is fatty tissue that structurally supports the neurons.
The breast is mostly fatty tissue. You body needs a certain level of fat to be healthy. Too much is ugly, and unhealthy, and so is too little, ugly and unhealthy.
@@pmaster1173 It was Brian.
There's also "Actual Size" by They Might Be Giants.
I loved watching your reaction! You have an amazing smile, it elevated my day. Thank you!
i love watching you react!! you're always smiling and having fun....and you're beautiful too. thanks!!
always loved this song, and it's super-fun to play on the guitar...love your shirt too! :)
First two subjects today!
08:15 to 10:00, rock history
10:00 to 11:00, rock appreciation and theory
Great song. Digging your cool t-shirt. Happy you liked the song. Love your reactions. Thanks for posting!
Miss Shiloh, may I respectfully suggest that if you do intend to go down the Queen rabbit hole (and I hope you do!), try some of their very early heavy rocking stuff as well, such as 'Tie Your Mother Down', 'Seven Seas of Rhye', 'Sheer Heart Attack', "Brighton Rock' 'I Want it All', 'Now I'm Here', 'Keep Yourself Alive' and others, and others. Also, of their more recent stuff, I think you would REALLY enjoy 'A Kind of Magic', 'Hammer to Fall' and 'One Vision'. Love your reactions; keep up the good work :)
So sad you missed out on the greatest era of music. Seeing these guys live is a gift.
I've been a huge fan of Queen since 1986, and I just loooooooove watching Queen reaction videos from young people who've never heard them before.
They've heard them. They just didn't know who the band was.
I watched the entire video. Enjoyed your reaction. Queen is one of my favorite groups. Love this song! Other great songs by Queen worth checking out include I Want It All, Dragon Attack, You're My Best Friend and Headlong to name some.
"Headlong" not "Headstrong", from the album "Innuendo".
Nice shirt. just stumbled on your channel thank you for not stopping the music every 10 seconds
This song should be followed by "Bicycle" hence "Get on your bikes and ride".
"Bicycle Race"
Absolutely
I had the 45 growing up and it had Fat Bottom Girls on side A and Bicycle Race on side B.
i think that is smart but i would follow it with we will rock you or hammer to fall only because of the beat and sort of how intense it is compared to some of their other songs like killer queen or bohemian rhapsody
Freddy says " get on your bikes and ride." On their song Bicycle he says " fat bottom girls will be riding today so look out for those beauties oh yeah."
Really enjoy your reactions. The Queen songs are some of my faves you react to
I came to watch some Queen, I subbed for your smile and enthusiasm - great reaction :)
I watch a lot of reaction videos, especially about Queen (my fav) you're giving some honest reactions and rocking it :) Refreshing from the younger folk :)
Just looking here and loving it! I dont see a mention of what the line "get on your bike and ride", means. This was used for the "starters gun" for many nude bike races across Europe, back in the day
Obviously by the title you know it is a wholesome song about what makes the rocking world go round
Love your tee, I had a Subscription to the mag. back in 1987 when I was a punk skateboarder. And still am, truth be known.
Thanks to Shiloh, almost every day is Christmas. 🎁😍🎅
The Earth can NOT be flat! If it WAS, the cats would have knocked everything off the edges by now. 😁
Not trying to be smooth or cheesy, but you honestly are breathtakingly beautiful. Anyway, it was fun seeing you enjoy this classic song and how you were just a little shocked (but not offended by it or judgemental toward it) by the lyrics. Fun stuff.
Love me some Fat Bottom Girls. Great pick! One of their best songs. Love your shirt.
Top 5 of my fav queen songs... Innuendo, Headlong, Fat Bottom Girls, Seven Seas of Rye, One Vision
Hey girl i love your reactions they make them you make them fun you're funny and i think ive watched almost all of them im subscribed and btw you are a beautiful woman i dont mean to offend you by that but your eyes mesmorizes me anyway keep on reacting you bring joy to me
Great tune. Queen mimicking Black Sabbath. Double A side with Bicycle Race. Apparently Brian May wrote this in the Canary Islands whilst studying his astrophysics PHD (didn't finish?). Not too PC nowadays!!
I have loved this song since I was 6. Good work done by all.
I grew up to this. It's so great watching a new generation find it!
Keep up the great reactions
I love how, when you're familiar with the band and it's members, you can get 2 seconds into this song and immediately know "Yeah, this is 100% a Brian May song". 😂
Funniest meme after that clerk refused to write marriage licenses for gay couples...
"Freddy Mercury... Wasn't really into fat bottomed girls... Still did his job!"
If you don't Know him personally how can you say what he did and didn't like
Would lovee an Alice in Chains reaction.. " Would" "Rooster" and "Nutshell" just to name a few amazing hits
Would or Rooster is a nice place to start. I personally would wait on Nutshell until she has a few songs listened too.
I just wanna say that im only 20 seconds into this video and I wish I could relive hearing this for the first time. I mean man. What a band
I LOVE that shirt, I had subscription to Thraher Mag when I was 11, got it for a b-day gift in 1985 along with a Rob Roskopp skateboard...
Tell me I'm not the only one who thinks Miss Shiloh's hair is amazing?
This girl is beautiful and she has a great personality seems so best of luck and keep up the good work
OMG - you're GORGEOUS!!! Ok, as for Queen? If you haven't, do react to "Bohemian Rhapsody" and/or "One Vision" :)
Another killer reaction video!
One impressive thing about Queen is, that a majority of their songs are built upon each other, many songs refer to previous songs, like Bicycle Race and Fat Bottomed Girls ("Get on your bikes and ride") or I Want it All and We are the Champions. Innouendo has a direct connection to Bohemian Rhapsody, and so on. Queen basically wasn't writing songs, even though they did and these songs are standing for themselves. But these songs also are parts of a bigger picture in a way of "I want To Break Free", "Breakthru", "Living on My Own" and "The Show must go On", and stuff like that.
Your a beautiful young lady thank you for making my eyes happy
Hi Shiloh, you are in my top 3 reactors because you do not stop the video every 10 seconds you let the video play then you talk, please please keep it up girl and I am now subscribed after only 2 of your reaction videos.. . . . . .
Love the drum roll midway through but nobody else seems to mention or appreciate it.
Some lesser known, but equally brilliant Queen songs from their first album are King Rat and Seven Seas of Rhye. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
You are the beauty queen of this locality....keep up the good vids
